Chili de Arbol (Spanish for chili tree) is a small and powerful Mexican chili pepper, also known as bird's beak chili and rat's tail chili. Peppers have a length of 5 to 7.5 cm and a diameter of 0.65 to 1 cm. The sharpness on the Scoville scale is from 15,000 to 30,000 units. Peppers begin to turn green and turn bright red as they ripen.
